Well um Mister. I have actually considered and writing an article pinpointing certain things I have a hard time believing in the Bible but it has never come to fruition. I've tried many times to sit down and write it but there's so many things that going through my mind I've had a hard time focusing it into anything remotely readable. I haven't worked on it in a while, maybe I'll dig out my notes and give it another shot.

No offense taken Rodney. I consider you a good bud, pal, etc...

LOL, thank you!

Alright Miss Sassy Britches... Rodney Southern Here. Your buddy. Your pal. Your friend.....etc... You know I love ya to death and that I respect your right to believe one hundred percent. You know I consider myself a Christian, though I too do not go to a church because of all the dirt mankind has put into it. Now that I got that out of the way, I do have some things that I want to say.

One, my wife was apostolic and I know what you say about them to be true in large part. I am limited only to what my wife has shown me, and what I have seen when I visited once or twice. I also know that she has shared much with me on that subject, and it sickens me to no end. I grew up Baptist, and that had it's issues as well. So we agree on much where they man made issue is concerned.

That said, I do disagree with your thoughts on God to some extent. I am not sure how much of it is the poison you were fed in the Church you attended and how much of it is just good old fashioned human reasoning. I imagine it falls somewhere in between.

I have read all of your religious stuff, and enjoy it, but I notice one thing throughout them all. You always have questions about what could not be true in the Bible. That is rather common and human as well. I do it too. The thing is, there are things about the Bible that are beyond explanation as well, Spies......lol

I would love for you to write just one article, from your own point of view mind you, that delves into those questions as well. It is a bit more challenging and I think it would make for some of your best work if you truly dove in. To be specific, what parts of the Bible do you find to be hard to prove wrong?

Do not even try to tell this dude that you do not have any. I know you know the Bible and some things are simply tough to explain away easily. Take the tough road, and give this a try if you are up for it. I would love to read it.

You know I love ya to death, and I hope you take this in the way that I mean it. I am being very honest and not sarcastic at all. I really think that would make for a great article, and particularly from you.

Love the new blog set up by the way. Very cool..... I will look for your reply here young lady. LOL....

Oh and Kelly...... God bless...

IF you want to be cynical the OT can be read as the story of a people who considered themselve to be the only "real" people. Cains wife belonged to "the others" ~

yes I understand that Adam lived 800 years and had daughters, however are you telling me he populated an entire city?

No not every person born is listed in the Bible but don't you think the creation of a whole other city right after the creation of man would be important enough to mention?

Your missing my point to some degree when I asked why some people have a 1-800 number to god. sure anyone can talk to God but what made moses or anyone else who claims to have written books of the bible so special? I'm supposed to take their word for it just because they said God said to? To me that's just some man talking and convincing people to go along with him.

I never said for God to MAKE anyone love him. I said why doesn't he show up and give me a good reason. If God showed up on my doorstep and proved who he was and answered some basic questions I might could be persuaded but forced? no way I don't believe in that nonsense, I've seen it happen way too much.

There were already people living in Enoch when Cain went there. They aren't mentioned in the Bible because A) Not every single person that was ever born is named in the Bible and B) The Old Testament never lists women in the genealogies. We know there are other women because it says so in Genesis 5:4 "After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and DAUGHTERS."

Every person living in the deepest jungles will hear the word of God at some point. That is why there are missionaries.

The 1-800 number to God is not open to only some people. Anybody can talk to God.

What would the point of God making people love him be? If or when you have kids do you want them to love you because they HAVE to or because they want to?
